The Yorkite supplier we were currently using went out of business. We are not sure how we will be getting yorkite in the future, so we are looking for an alternative. We are needing a material to use for curvalinear lumberbanded tops that will be a crossply and will not telegraph. right now we use a .03 yorkite material and it works fine. If anyone has an alternative please let me know.

nate,

i used to get my yorkite from nfv. they have been in trouble for a while now. real problem with supply and demand.

another alternative to using paper is to buy rotary cut sheets in quantity.that is if you do wood on wood two plies. they come 50x99, obeche, mahogany, birch ect....

and again you can use a product # 170 ts. you'll also cut your glue time down 100%. no more mess.

right now we use a synthetic and an sound rotry maple to make a 7 ply construction. If we do not so this on curvalinear parts we will see the lumberband telegraph. We liked yorkite because it was cheaper than a 7ply construction obviously. He has not gotten back to me yet so I do not know if he can help. We previously had got our matrial from nvf also.

Nate,

Have you considered a product called Gator Ply? Here is the web site http://www.gatorply.com/
