Can I use Kerfcore as a substrate? Bending it after I have the veneer pressed on?

You can definitely veneer Kerfcore first and then bend it. I like there Econocore myself.

If using a rigid glue like Unibond and other urea formaldehydes, does the result have to be bent immediately out of the press, before the glue fully cures?

Depends on the radius. If its a real tight radius, lets say 6", then I would form it into its shape before the glue fully cures. If its a gentler radius then a hard glue line is not an issue.

With using Kerfcore, how do you treat the 1/8" voids in the material? Is that small enough that the veneer bridges the gap underneath the paper? Would you go the two ply route? Lots of questions I know. I have used this product but never as a substrate.

If what you are meaning by 1/8" voids is the kerfs, then you dont usually veneer that side, only the unkerfed face. This is why I like the Econocore as it is 3/8" kerfed MDF and I use glue two pieces together with the kerfs facing each other. Kerfs are buried and you get a 3/4" panel.
