Is Unibond 1 an appropriate glue for a bent lamination that will live outside in the environment? Specifically, can it be used in a marine environment? It must be waterproof or at least, highly water repellant since the wood objects created will be either painted or varnished.

The description I found on the vacupress.com site said the glue is suitable for interior uses.

Go for epoxy. It's messier in the bag so you have to wrap it all in plastic but it is probably the way to go for any exterior use.

My first thought would be to try plastic resin, because it has a long working time. The working time of epoxy is shortened if mixed in a small container because of the self generated heat. This effect will be reduced if the freshly mixed epoxy is poured into something like a cookie tray to keep it in a thin layer.

About Unibond One, it is not suitable for exterior use. Plastic Resin glue can withstand exterior exposure but I do recommend it for full day in and day out exterior use. Epoxy is my go to glue for full exterior exposure.

Thanks to all for the response. I use epoxy a lot but am always searching for alternate glues that are the least toxic and offer ease of use. I wonder sometimes what interior vs. exterior means to a glue? From the glue's perspective, all it sees are the inside surfaces of wood, or other material, to which its been bonded. So UV light exposure is negligible. Besides, epoxy is highly UV susceptible and must be coated with a blocking coat of varnish or paint. So is it the temperature that is a factor? Or water? Just thinking......
