Subject : Unibond catalyst

I just opened my new bottle of Unibond 800 and I seen the note that came with it stating that not to use the old version of catalyst with it.
Has anyone tried different ratios to see if the older stuff will work?
I have 3 full bags (3 colors) of the older stuff that I ordered extra of on my last order in 2011. I hate to toss them if I can still use them.

You can use the old catalyst with the new Unibond 800 resin except that it will catalyze about 2 1/2 times slower. Other than that it will give you the same results.

does that mean it has to stay in the heated bag that much longer or can it be taken out and set aide for the xtra time?

You should double the time under pressure and in the correct temperature range when using the old catalyst.
