I'm kind of under a rush with the current job we are running. I want to get as much gluing done as possible. We put plywood in the press about 10:00 and I'm wondering if I can put another run in around 2:00 or so. I know we usually use fish glue and that must go over night or at least 8 hours.

By the way, the vacuum table is working great and after really zeroing it in, we are able to make perfectly flat stock!

Hope you are all well!

Gary

Gary,

For flat unstressed work 1 to 2 hours is fine. I've even done 45 minutes if I really get the glue spread just right. If you want to play it safe figure two hours, tops.

Thanks Darryl, I was playing it safe...letting it go overnight ;*) Most of the work we have been doing is just flat sheets that have no stress in general. I do like to be **** sure it is flat though...

Thanks!

I am still amazed every time I suck down a bunch of sheets and watch them squeeze!

Now on to other pressing matters,

Gary

but of course, Don!

I have done the 2 hours since posting this and it works fine. The vacuum table still never ceases to fascinate me...
