I'm looking for a source for cocobolo veneer for a humidor project I'm thinking of doing. Google isn't coming up with anything, any ideas?

Cocobola is very tough to find in a veneer.

Cocobolo trees are pretty small, lending sawyers to not bother with veneer.

I needed some a while back and ended up buying turning blanks from a place that does mostly turning stock and sawed the veneer myself. If you do this, don't expect wide pieces.

That's the direction I'm going in it looks like, I have plenty of solid stock here in good widths, I'd just hate to lose so much of it to sawdust while making it thin.

Update:

Just got off the phone with Certainly Wood, they MIGHT have a few pieces laying around.

According to them there is pretty much no cocobolo veneer in the US right now, with none on the horizon ;(

Thanks for the source Earl, they didn't have what I need, but it's another site to add to my favorites.

So I talked to the guys at Certainly Wood again and they found about 100 sqft, that's it, no more in the US.

I bought it all
