Daryl, I recently purchased the compact 100 and I am very happy with it. However, I am about to do some inside laminating using the urea resin glue and I would like to set up my system so that I can leave it unattended. I have an air compressor. What is the most economical choice for me to have a system that will cycle off that I can leave alone overnight?

Dear DougYou have a couple of choices here. First you can get a timer for your compact 100 like TTB suggested, or you could get a self cycling system. When considering a self cycling system you need to consider if you are comfortable having your compressor run when you are not around, especially overnight. If you like your compressor off when your gone then I would consider a electric system over the venturi compressor driven units. One thing about your Compact 100, it can be left running unattended for as long as needed. The type of pump it is can handle continuous running, even overnight, although a timer is a good addition.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Daryl, I recently purchased the compact 100 and I am very happy with : it. If I am reading the specs on the 100 correctly, it is an electrical vacuum pump - if this is your case, a heavy duty (15 amp) timer ought to work for you. I use an Intermatic timer for the very purpose you are speaking of - performing a layup near the end of the day which can be left to run unnattended for sufficient time for the glue to set, but not left to just run all night long. An item like this will run you about $10-12.: Daryl, I recently purchased the compact 100 and I am very happy with : it. The timer comes with several "trips" which you can set for as long or short as you like. As soon as you see one in person, you will see exactly how it works.: I am not familiar with this timer..can you set it for hours, say to stop in four hours or so?
