Can a plumbers type vac pump be used as a pump for veneer pressing? and if so does anyone know how to rig up a micro-switch? perhaps also a source for parts to build a set-up?any help is greatly appreciated. thanx bob

I don't know why I sead "plumbers" what I should have said is that it's an A/C type pump. It's the kind used for drawing down a vacuum befor charging a system with freon. It's a 1/2 hp.

Dear Bob,That is a fine vacuum pump for veneering. You will need a back check valve, gauge, inline filter and pressure switch. We carry all of these things.
