Subject : Laminating skateboards

I am looking to make skateboards,but do not know where to start.Maybe someone can get me started in the right direction.Tools,Wood,and where I can find these items.What would be the option be on a press,working with a preety low budget?The wood I am looking for in sugar maple veneers 1'/10'.Please any info would be great.

Dear Dave,I have a number of customers using the VacuPress to make skateboards.You dont need a lot to get going. You can use a vacuum press or make a set of stout male and female forms and use clamps. I would use a urea resin glue like our Unibond 800 or epoxy would also work fine. Call Certainly Wood for the 1/10 maple, they should have it.
