Some while back, at Darryl's suggestion, I converted my bag to a new hose that has a larger I.D. brass tube that goes to the platen. I have a leak there. What I observe is that the brass tube is maybe too long. When inserted all the way so the shoulder is up against the bag nipple the tube sticks up past the top of the platen which is a full 3/4" thick. Also, the bag nipple is only about 1/32" long and very thin walled so I question the seal between the nipple and the shoulder on the brass tube. I am looking for a good fix for this, I think I have no other leaks but with this one the pump runs continously.

You need a nipple patch kit, which can be found on the order page. I have no idea how you have a nipple that is 1/32" long. I suspect the actual nipple, which is about 1/2" long has been sheared off and all you have left is the base. The new nipple patch kit will glue nicely onto this location, after you cut out the old flange, and your bag should be good as new.

Thanks Darryl: I will order the patch kit. Meanwhile, I saw an old post yesterday where you recommended a widow putty product as a temporary solution and today I cannot find the post searching and don't remember the name of the product. If you can I would appreciate the name again.

Mortite caulking cord. Just about any hardware store has it.
