I have some very expensive Tamo Ash Veneer that I wish to veneer to MDF for panels. Are there any hints out there on gluing problems and/or finishing techniques that I can receive?
Thanks in advance

I've never heard of Tamo Ash.

With any new veneer that you are unsure of, it's probably a good idea to do a test piece.

Even if it's only as big as 3" x 3", you can learn how or if it might bleed through, how it will finish, etc...

also called japanese ash. pretty straight forward veneer. sands and finishes well . optical illusion when finished with a full fill high gloss finish. both glue types work well, urea and pva.

I appreciate the replies to date. One question though, has anyone first used a dye or stain on the Tamo Ash? I did not intend to stain my doors but I would like the wood to "pop" as best as possible. From what I hear I should just use "tung oil" or perhaps a wiping varnish to bring out the figure of the wood. Any comments?
Thanks,
Larry
