I have lots of Methyl Hydrate at the shop. Can I use it in place of the denatured alcohol?

Surprise, surprise....I have just discovered that wood alcohol is the same as methyl hydrate. Amazing! It's my lucky day. LOL.

FYI:

Ethanol is the type of alcohol you drink. It's production is taxed.
"Denatured" alcohol is ethanol with an additive that makes it poisonous. And thus it is not taxed.
"Wood alcohol" is a synonym for methanol. Methanol is poisonous and is sometime used to denature ethanol.
