Has anyone had any experience with laser cut marquetry?
We have a commission to make some jewellery boxes with some complicated marquetry designs on the top. Can someone recommend a supplier who does custom work?

Actually, I am in the process of outsourcing some laser work right now. Pleasant experience so far, but I don't have a finished product to show and compare to my hand work.

From what I can tell, there are two major companies...

Epilog - 800.4EPILOG
Universal - 800.859.7033

I worked with Epilog, and they were great. Just call the 800 #, ask for the rep that covers the area of your country, and then ask him for a person that outsources work in your area.

My materials are due to go the laser to be cut before Xmas, and then my deadline is a show happening on Jan 5th....I'll keep you posted.....if I forget (as I'm getting pretty busy), email me...
