A while back I saw some discussion of these roller covers (ideal for adhesive application) on this forum. These things have vanished from any store shelves in my area. Does anyone know a mail order source? Thanks!

Richard, I have used various rollers and notched trowels for applying Unibond for almost 10 yrs. Earlier this yr I had a large veneer job, 1500'of veneer or about 20 sheets of ply. So I bit the bullet and bought the Pizzi glue applicator Darryl sells. I wish now I would have done it yrs. ago. It makes applying glue so much easier with more control, I can spread it paper thin or very heavy. Really helped with a difficult job. The only drawback, if the glue dries in it you may have to discard it. I get around this problem by keeping a bucket of water handy, soon as I get the glue spread I drop the spreader in the water and then cleanup when finished with the press. It cleans up really quick. Sure made my life a lot easier.

I've used a dozen of their 4" black foam roller with no problem at all. Just ordered another dozen 4" and a dozen 3". Haven't had occasion to use any of the dozen 9" black foam rollers I ordered with the 1st dozen 4", but they look just fine and I don't expect any problems. www.brush.com and search for "roller"

I buy these black foam rollers at my local True Value hardware store for $1.79 each. If your True Value doesn't carry them, they should be able to order them. I buy the 9" size, and cut them in half on a chop saw. I then use the half roll on a 4" roller, and am able to make them last twice as long.
