Subject : Laminating polycarbonate(lexan) to Luan

Will your glues work with this type of plastic? In some literature from 3m it indicates that polycarbonate is a high energy plastic. High energy materials are supose to be easier to bond to than low energy. I have a moisture cure adhesive sample that is on its way here. Them manufacture claims it will hold polycarbonate down very well. That same company suggested that I use a vacuum press for clamping. I'm going to be gluing down images from a inkjet printer and I am also concerned about the ink boiling off the polycarbonate and causing delamination. Thanks in advance for any help in this mater.

Dear David,Try Polyurethane glues, like the "Gorrila glue". I find they stick well to most all plastics I have tried. A good scuff sanding will always help. Our Unibond 800 would not work on your material.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Will your glues work with this type of plastic?
