Subject : Table edge

I want to build an oval table with a solid wood edge so i can put a profile on it. But i also want the face of the tables edge to have a radial veneer pattern with the grain running from the center outward. Will i have a problem with the grain of the veneer being perpendicular the the solid wood edge?? How do i handle this cross grain issue??

Dear Rick,I recommend you place a backer veneer under your radial face veneer to insulate the solid wood edging from having any visible effect on your face veneer.
