Call Nor-Cal and ask them for a local distributor for Airtrol Part # F-4200-X30 (Vacuum switch)... if you live towards the west, they will sell you one direct. The cost is $18.70 plus shipping. The number is 800-233-2013 , or if it doesnt go through.... 408-727-5756The description is "Adjustment range: min 1.5" Hg to 30" Hg Deadband: Typ.: 2" Hg, Max: 3" Hg Current rating: 15A, SPDT"You could wire this to a 110v relay if needed (as someone else stated).I am working on two systems now (one venturi powered, one powered by belt driven vacuum pump.) I cant afford one of these Vacupress models as I am not that wealthy The total price for both of my systems together was under $150. Good Luck

Rich.Rich:I'm in the same boat that you are, trying to find a vacuum control switch for an electric vacuum pump. I've been searching around the internet and have been unable to find one that will satisify the amps that our pumps draw. (Mine is a 1/2 HP ITT pump.)I wanted to tell you about a couple that I've found and one is at a competer to the vaccuum press people. The Quality Vacuum people have one at http://www.qualityvak.com it costs around $250.00.I've also found an adjustable vacuum switch at http://www.tecknocraft.com/tek_brvac5.html When I talked to these people the specification sheet in the web page were wrong. The web page said that the switch would support 11 Amps but they talked to their engineer and it will only support 4 amps at 125 VAC. What would be necessary is to use this switch as a siginal line to a "Radio Shack" 110 V relay switch which would allow for switching (in my case 7 Amps running , Starting Amps ???) An office mate stated if I were to get a Double pole / Double throw switch you could hook both sides of the relay into parallel and be able to get double the amperage)I've not ordered one yet, but I'm getting closer because I've not been able to find any alternative that is reasonable. If you happen to find something could you let me know.Karson Morrison at karson_morrison@bigfoot.comGood luck in your searching.Karson

Relays are available in a range of ratings. Try an electric wholesale houseor good industrial motor place. Your buddy's suggestiion to use a double pole"switch" I assume he meant the relay itself. Using the double pole relay meansit is a 220 volt setup for a motor wired for 220. If you do this be carefull with yourwiring as the control side may require you to wire it 220 as well. No problem just check the wiring on the box to be sure you do it correctly.I found the main difficulty in useing an off the shelf relay was finding and mounting it ina suitable enclosure. : : : I have a used Gast 6.5 cfm vacume pump, do you have a regulator for : : : it to maintane a set vacume.?I would like to leave it overnight : : : without haveing to check it.
