Hey Daryl- Happy New Year! Do you also recommend epoxy type glue for adhereing burl veneer to auto interior metal? The existing veneer has badly cracked and even chiped out in places- not what one would expect from British craftsmen ( or, being a convertible, just too much sun )

Hello Russell,I concur with Ed's recommedations, especially about the finish. You can also use the new urethane glue's for this type of work. They will adhere very well.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Hey Daryl- Happy New Year! Do you also recommend epoxy type glue for : adhereing burl veneer to auto interior metal? In my experience, epoxy glues will stick nearly anything to anything, provided the surface preparation is carefully done. In your case, a clean surface, free of oil and dust ought to yield decent results. The trick to making your work last will be in the finish. There are many types of weatherproof, UV resistant finishes available today that ought to last a lifetime that probably weren't available when the car was initially crafted. I'd love to see some before and after pictures, if you could/would be so kind as to send them to me. This kind of work intrigues me a great deal.: Hey Daryl- Happy New Year!
