Subject : unibond 800 HARDENER shelf life

I had a bad experience, chalked it up to old Unibond 800. Now, I throw out the old glue after a year or 2. I only make 1 or 2 pieces every year or so. It leaves me with a lot of the hardener.

I'm ready to buy more Unibond 800 and wonder if my older hardener is good to use? some is 2 years old, some maybe as old as 5 years.

Thanks in advance!

Only the liquid resin has a shelflife. The Hardner does not. You can use whatever Hardner you have and just buy the liquid resin by itself.

wondering what your sense is for the shelf life of the glue - if it's put in the freezer between glue-ups?
thanks

If you keep the liquid resin in the fridge you should easily get a good year out of it before it starts to thicken, which indicates the shelf life is up.
