I have been using an "under carpet heating panel," 5½' x 8', to heat my vacuum pressing, ever since Darryl posted on this forum many years ago that there was a great sale on them. It was made by Klimax Mfg. Unfortunately the connection from the cord to the actual heating elements has broken and doesn't seem repairable.

Before I got this heating pad, I used regular electric blankets. They work but not as well, and don't seem to last that long. So am looking for another heating pad and wondering what folks are using. A search online has only revealed very expensive options for something similarly sized.

Thanks in advance for any leads.

Enrico

Try this one on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Woo-Warmer-Instant-Radiant-Electric/dp/B01N0D9EU0/ref=asc_df_B01N0D9EU0/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=225442732243&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1492055097842953435&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1018794&hvtargid=pla-380699102292&th=1

Rug buddy makes them as well but somewhat more expensive. I personally like the rug buddy.

Thanks a ton, Darryl. The Rug Buddy one ends up actually costing less, as they charge $50 for shipping the largest one to Canada, while the Amazon listing wants $150 (yikes).

It seems like the constant folding and unfolding eventually does the wiring in. Do you just leave yours out flat even when you're not using it?

Thanks again
Enrico

I roll mine up. Never fold it
