Quick question regarding UNI Bond 800 to achieve a proper mix, must I use a paint mixer on a drill or can I simply use a house hold whisk? After violently whisking the glue for a few minutes, letting it rest for 5 minutes, then mixing again I did notice a few white specks in the glue once rolling it on my substrate Are the white specks the acid salt crystals?
Did I just answer my own question??

The white specks can be one of two things, the acid salt crystals like you suspected, or titanium dioxide, which is only in the medium hardener. If you rub the titanium dioxide spots they will smear out, the acid salt crystals will not and feel like sand under your finger.

You dont HAVE to thoroughly dissolve either one but leaving undissolved acid salt crystals can, but not always, have certain consequences, like spot staining where the crystal sits under the veneer. A little bit of undissolved crystals is OK in general. The titanium dioxide is just a colorant to give the hardener its medium brown color.

You do not have to use a paint mixer, a whisk is fine. I will make a suggestion though, an electric whisk really does a great job. I have one and love it. Got mine on Amazon.

Yes, the white spots did smear!
Thank you for your input.
I might check on an cake batter mixer at a pawn shop.
Thanks,
Jason

You would probably have to order replacement whisks for a kitchen mixer, but they will fit in a cordless drill quite nicely.
