Want to experiment with 3 ply work for marquetry on plywood and balancing backer. Not real crazy about leaving the vacuum pump on overnight. If I start the vacuum press on two 3 ply assemblies one morning using urea resin glue, and leave under weighted boards overnight, will they be flexible enough the following morning to press to 3/4" plywood again using urea resin glue?

Don,

I gather this three ply is for curved work? If so what is the radius you will want to bend it around?

Actually the thre ply would be simply for flat involved marquetry designs with a number of pieces and grain running in different directions.

Don,

If its flat work then it really doesnt matter how long you wait before pressing the three ply to the substrate.
Just make sure you keep it weighted under something, thats all.
