Will I have trouble if I glue a curved bending ply drawer front to an inner curved drawer front made up of a solid wood lamination? The largest drawer is about eight inches tall.

Greg,

Question, how thick is the bending ply you want to laminate on top of the solid wood, and how thick is the solid wood?

Hi Darryl,
I've made a curved outer drawer face of bending ply ,!/8 baltic birch and veneer. It's about 11/16 thick. I want to glue this to an inner curved drawer front made of maple or alder. This inner front will be made from 1/8 thick band sawn laminates and will be about 5/8 thick. Will I have trouble with expansion and contraction between the outer drawer face and the laminated inner?

Greg,

Now that I understand what you have a little better I recommend just to fasten the inner and outer curved drawer components to each other by screws or some other means. Best not to glue them together. No real reason to, at least I cant see any.
