We are wanting to take a Platic laminated piece of PBD, and clamp on external Lumberbands to it. the rails need to be flush on the face with a finish sand. We have no good way of doing this. We are needing to mass produce these. It isn't one or two a week. If you have any good suggestions I would appreciate it. thanks

hi nate,

From a production stand point there is no super fast way. i've had to do quite a bit of those and the only tool available is a lipping plane. hoffman or virutex makes one and once there set up correctly they work perfect.

If the finished edge is going to be bull nosed then you want to bull nose first then flush up the wood edge to the laminate with the lipping planer and fine tune the bull nose again.

the object is to get your wood edge only 1/32 proud of the laminate, this will speed up the lipping process
