What do you use to keep the veneer from gluing to curve platen/cauls?

Larry,

There are a number of way and hopefully others will chime in but one of the simplest methods is just standard 4mil plastic you would get in a roll at the hardware store.

I just cover everything with clear packing tape. That way you dont have to deal with the plastic as another layer that you have to line up or fuss with. Just tape in strips with a slight overlap no matter how big the caul is . I have taped over 4 x 6 foot sheets. Works great. Platens just cover in plastic laminate.

hi larry,
i found that plastic laminate is the best for both the caul and as a cover sheet.
