I'm looking at buying a new Invicta 12" jointer, any of you guys have any expierence with thier machines? Good, bad indifferent?

From what I understand is that they are some kind of subdisidy of Delta in Brazil, I'm VERY un-impressed with the Delta machines I've bought in the last couple years so I'm a little wary.

Thanks for any imput.

I just purchased the SHop fox 12" paralellagram type jointer from Utter Guys for $1700 plus 200 shipping. I was leary of the name at first but it works incredible. It was nice and flat and makes a glass smooth polished surface on the wood. 3hp 220 volts with lots of power. Very nice machine for a great price. It does weigh about 1000 lbs so moving it off of the truck and into the shop by myself was tough but I did it. With a jointer bigger is better and you planer is only as good as the width of your jointer which is why I went to 12"

I just looked at the Invicta and the shop fox has all the same features at half the price. Its the first year of a new model so it is discounted. Im a professional and not just a hobbiest and the machine works great for me. Better than my previous 8 " delta. Here is the link

If it doesnt work go to ebay and type in 12" shop fox jointer. YOu wont be dissapointed

Yesterday I called Davis and Wells, they're local to me, and talked to the owner Dan for a bit. I think now I'm going to go with my first instinct and buy restored older American machine. He currently has an old Moak 12" in perfect condition for about $3500 that I'm going to check out next week.
