I was wondering if anyone has veneered onto Blockboard before? I am looking at using Blockboard with an MDF face and was wondering if anyone has used this product before?
Does blockboard stay flat? Is it consistant thickness? Any experiences would be welcome.

Blockboard is a solid core made from timber strips.

I got it now; in the States we call that lumber core plywood. This material as all but disappeared here and I wouldn’t know where to look for it. I always thought it was a superior sheet goods product and was disappointed when it began to fade away.

The fact that you can get this with a MDF face is fabulous, I’m jealous!

One thing I recall if my memory serves me right is that it didn’t always stay real flat, not real bad, just not dead flat. So I wouldn’t use it on a cabinet door. Only on panels that will get fastened down. Now maybe they have worked that problem out or possibly the MDF facing fixes that, I don’t know.
