I'm new to veneering and I had a question regarding glue application. If I don't apply enough glue to a panel and then put it in the press, how will it affect the panel? Will the pieces not adhere to each other or will they adhere, but fail sometime in the future? I'm more concerned about the latter scenario. I just glued up some curved panels with pear veneer and I'm not sure if I applied enough glue. I'm using Unibond and I applied it with a foam roller. I put on enough glue to cover the panel, but not so much as to have it pooling up or making the roller slide on the surface. When I took the pieces out of the press they were stuck together, but I'm wondering if they might separate over time. Any thoughts? Thanks.
