I've gotten the suggestion that I should buy a veneer punch to deal with problems in my veneers. It sounds like an interesting idea, to punch an irregular-shaped piece out a veneer and match it with one from another piece. However, at one site where I found them, punches are $90. So, a couple of questions.
Has anyone used them? Are they really worth the money? How long do they last and do they have to be sharpened all the time? Any suggestions where to get them?
My partner and I tried making our own out of conduit, and found the result VERY unsatisfactory.
