Dear Francois,I have found MDF's can differ quite a bit in their surface smoothness, so its difficult to say if that was the problem. Roughing it up would never hurt and would probably be a good practice.Some MDF's are very absorbant and possibly you were left with not enough glue to bond the veneer properly. Plywood does not absorb the glue like MDF does, and you mentioned you had good luck with that material. With any PVA you need to work fairly fast, especially with MDF. Those are my thoughts.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have had some minor delamination around the dege when gluing veneer : to MDF using PVA glue. Could it be because the MDF is too smooth. : Should I rough up the surface slightly. So far, PVA seems to work fine : on plywood or wood surfaces.
