I let a piece of veneer slip in the bag and it is quite a bit out of place. Is there any way to remove he veneer now?thank you

Dear Ron,It depends on what kind of glue you use. With Unibond 800 there is no way to remove theveneer short of sanding it off. Because Unibond is a two part glue, there is actually a chemicalreaction when mixed making it unresponsive to chemicals or temperature. This kind of glue isexcellent for the veneer bond but is permanent. A PVA glue, on the other hand can bereleased with the heat of an iron but does not give you the same qualities that Unibond will.SincerelyDarryl Keil : I let a piece of veneer slip in the bag and it is quite a bit out of place. Is there any way to remove he veneer : : now?: : thank youHi, Ron,Having not seen what the piece you are working on looks like, it is hard to say if this might work, but I can imagine a situation where the entire panel might be cut, and the mis-positioned piece being put back in place with perhaps, a spline joint in the panel. I am restoring an old Edwardian mirror and want to remove some of the old oak vaneer to rpelace it. Any suggestions ??
