I have some auto interior pieces that are made of mahogany that require leveling prior to placing the veneer. The veneering will be two layers (one cross grain and a top walnut burl -- the first layer also serves to band the burl). I want to make sure that whatever I use to level the mahogany substrate will work with the Unibond adhesive and veneers; plus be flexible enough in the temp ranges auto interiors get subjected to. Any suggestions?

Dear Peter,Mix up some Unibond 800 and then mix it with sawdust. Apply like a putty.
