Daryl, a long time ago, you mentioned a couple of folks you had good luck with buying from on ebay. One was something like greatdane? Can you post those again? I'm hoping to buy some nice curly maple for the tool chest project I asked a question about below. Thanks.Tony

I have been selling veneer on ebay for about 3 years, and have about 2000 satisfied customers. Please check out auctions by "TheWoodJunkie". Thanks,--Steve: Daryl, a long time ago, you mentioned a couple of folks you had good luck with buying from on ebay. One was something like : greatdane? Can you post those again? I have had great success on ebay purchasing veneers. At a fraction of the cost of retailers. Greatdane has great stuff, and is a nice guy. I recommend him. I have been purchasing veneers for 3 years now on ebay. greatdane was my first. My purchases are for smaller lots. If you need a large consecutive lot, the standard retailers are the way to go. Flamingoveneer, and certainlywood offer great selections of first rate veneer.

Thanks.: TonyTony, regarding sources of veneer, you might find a jackpot by checking out my suggestion (dated Feb 28)offered down below in "RE: Info On Black Veneer.....". Specifically paragraph 4. The larger architectural millwork shops often have quite a range of species in various lengths & widths. My advice to anyone pursuing this route though is don't go empty-handed. Some shops may just give the material away while others know that it is of some value. The best way to liberate some of this material from them is to offer to pay at least something for it and not to be seen as a begger - in this way you will also help to create a positive situation for the next time you visit them, or for the next guy that comes along just like yourself.
