I am looking into vacuum bagging 6-7 layers of 1/16" maple using Unibond 800. The mold I am using has a few curves, but nothing too drastic. Will I be able to bend the 7 layers of wood at once, or am i going to have to shape 2-3 layers at a time? And would this weaken the structure of the board.

Dear Budd,You really should not have any trouble with the lamination as you have described. In general, if you can roughly push the laminations into the shape of the form with your bare hands you will have no problem with vacuum doing it. Also you can do a dry run with no glue just to be sure. I think you will be fine doing all the layers at once.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I am looking into vacuum bagging 6-7 layers of 1/16" maple using : Unibond 800. Keil-Do you think it would help if I did a dry layup first, but also wetted down the layers with water. And let it run for awhile to preform the wood. Or would this end up affecting the bonding ability of the glue. (of course I would let the wood dry first). Or would attempting to prebend the wood be a waste of time.ThanksBudd: Dear Budd,: You really should not have any trouble with the lamination as you have described.
