Subject : Router bits for string inlay or accents

I'm thinking about starting to put accent stripes or string inlay on my veneered table tops, as an accent between adjacent pieces of veneer on radial or pie-slice lay ups, or circumferentially near the edge as an accent between the center field and the contrasting veneered edging. FWW had an excellent article on this about 10 years back. The author used dental burrs in a Dremel to plow the groove. 1/16" or smaller router bits don't seem to be available, and I can't find Dremel bits this small. A letter sent to the dental supply house listed in the article was returned. Where can yo get these tiny bits? Do other people use different methods for inlaying stripes? I'd ideally like to do very fine accenting- perhaps even just a regular piece of ebonized veneer on edge (? 0.030 inches). Thanks-

a supply for small bits is http://www.thinktink.com/ - I haven't tried them yet, but I know that others with cnc routers are using them at very low feed rates in wood, wood laminates and plastic based laminates - I hope that this helps: 1/16" or smaller router bits don't seem to be available, and I can't : find Dremel bits this small. flamingoveneer.com has excellent high quality 1/16" router bits that fit a 1/4" collet.

Jim, A great source for tiny dremel bits is Stewart-McDonald luthier supplies, or probably any other luthier supply house you can find on the net.
