Subject : unibond as general solid wood assembly glue?

subject says it all - can i use unibond to do basic woodworking tasks such as solid wood joinery? i could use the open time for a couple of very complex face frames...

I have used urea formaldehyde glue a number of times to glue up five sided, splined MDF display stands. Expect that squeezeout and drips will be impossible to wipe off, and some discoloring of the wood contacted by the glue. Test test test.

Works just fine for solid wood. Best to have a sanded surface for good bonding rather than straight out of the joiner or planer. Make sure you're well above 70 degrees for good curing. Let sit for 24hrs before machining.
