I haven't been veneering for quite a while, and just want to check what's changed in the past 10 years or so.
I'm going to be veneering vintage audio equipment. Receivers, turntables, amplifiers, speakers. A lot of this vintage equipment came with veneered outer cabinets.
Some of these components will not be compatible with a bag. In most cases they can't be disassembled. They either can't be disassembled into panels, or they can't be removed from the component.
So my question...I know fully well that using my bag is best.
But for these situations where my bag won't work, what's changed in the last 10 years as far as bagless veneering goes? Best options?
EDIT - I know that I can use clamps...no problem. But some of these parts won't lend themselves to clamping, so I'm really looking for a solution that will work with or without clamps. Hide glue and hammer veneering is my first thought, but I'm just curious if something better has developed. Thanks!
