I'm Inlaying a veneer that will applied to a guitar headstock (where the tuners are). The field is walnut burl, so I figure U800 would be best (plus I've used U800 in the past for laminations and veneers)

My jug of unibond resin is old, and I was wondering if I can buy just the resin in small quantities. It seems quite wasteful to buy more catalyst and a 1/2 gallon for such a small project.

Thanks,

Mitch

It is perfectly good to use a pva in that application.

Thanks Mike,

I was thinking pva wouldn't be good because its burl and a guitar can get knocked around. Although I intend to put solid wood edging around the head.

The hurled flattened out nicely, so hopefully it will stay that way,

Mitch
