If I have two rectangular pieces to veneer that are the same size, can I use the same bottom caul and veneer both pieces at the same time or should I use two separate bottom cauls?

Yes you can. When placing the two panels on the bottom caul keep them close together so the bag goes from one right on to the other without it trying to pull down in between. A space of about 1/4" is good.

This might be obvious, but just in case...

Don't forget to put a sheet of plastic inbetween the two project pieces. This would be the same type of plastic you use to keep the glue from sticking to the bag. Otherwise you might accidentally glue the two project pieces together.
