For potential customers I'd like to make some sample veneered panels, such as slip matched, running book match, diamond and reverse diamond, double book matched burls, and so on. For some of these I'd need consecutive leaves about 36" long. Anyone know of a distributor who also lays up panels and offers leftover "shorts" for sale? I'll email Certainly Wood tomorrow. Thanks.

Or, you could make multiple "sets" of samples. That is, what happens if someone "borrows" a set and "forgets" to return it? Or, some of the samples get damaged? Just thinking out loud...

Don,
I used to get a lot of those shorts through ebay. Sometimes for next to nothing besides shipping. Ebay did seem to change a few years back and those great deals don't seem to be as easily had, but it still is a good place to check for what you're looking for.
