In an attempt to reduce the amount of production time required for gluing a large panel (think 2'x8' counter top), I had the following thought.

What if I applied the urea resin glue by spraying it onto the surface?

Would that even work? Of course, the gun would need to be cleaned relatively quickly, and very thoroughly, after it was used to prevent destroying the gun.

Would spraying result in a faster and more even application?

Just thinking out loud...

Charles,

I doubt you would have much luck spraying urea glue. The shell flour in the catalyst will jam up in the gun tip as it does not go into solution.

A good old foam roller in a paint pan is what I suggest.

Thanks, Darryl.

I have been using foam rollers either in a paint pan, or by simply pouring the mixture out of the mixing container directly onto the substrate and then rolling. I was just wondering about alternatives.
