Sanded off old veneer on a tabletop glued with unibond. Will new veneer glued with unibond adhere to the old unibond impregnated mdf or do I need to sand through the impregnated layer?

Bob,

As long as you course sand, like with 80grit, and have some exposure to the substrate, you'll bond fine. Having the substrate impregnated with Unibond 800 is no problem but a glaze of glue with no substrate exposure may not bond thoroughly.
