I'm making some exterior doors with 1/16" veneers over MDO/Extira cores and want to use resorcinol for durability. Anyone done this with a vacuum press? I've done interior doors with Unibond but kinda afraid to use it on exterior surfaces. My concern, which may be unfounded is the lack of PSI leaving a weak glue line.

Earl,

Resorcinol will work fine in the bag as long as you dont mind the purple glue line. Unibond 800 will work well as an exterior exposure glue like on the doors you are doing.

You could glue the hull of a boat together with Resorcinol but not with Unibond 800.

Thanks Darryl.

I may do some test panels and throw them outside for a few days of rain and sun.
