The exit nipple came off the bag when I was removing the hose today...it came off with the hose!!! Is it possible to glue it back in place?

Bill,

You need a nipple patch kit which is the nipple heat welded to a 3" diameter patch. Go here to see it https://www.vacupress.com/accessories.htm#nipplepatch

Also, put the smallest amount of grease, any kind, on the brass tube. It will make it slide in and out quite easily.
