I have been using unibond for my veneering for some time with great results. I am about to press some very nice very light colored maple veneer, and was warned by a friend that the glue mught discolor the veneer. Does anybody have experience or advice? Thanks, Evan

Evan,

Before I give you recommendations can you tell me what kind of maple it is, flat cut, curly, birdseye, etc. ?

Darryl

Darryl,
The veneer is curly English Sycamore. I believe this is related to American Maple. It is unbacked standard thickness. I am using wood edged MDF as the substrate, and veneering right to the edge of the panel. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Evan
