I have a project that might be neccesary to buy veneer flitches and edge glue them (bookmatched) to make up the proper width I need. Does anyone have knowledge to share about edge glueing such a thin material. Would epoxy resin or urea glue be the correct route? How can you get clamping pressure cross-ways on something so thin. Should I clamp them to thicker boards with the edges flush, glue veneer edge, then clamp the thicker boards together? Thanks

You should trim both edges of your veneer leaves and then use veneer tape to join each piece together. no edge gluing.no clamping.

one your leaves are at the desired length and width then you glue the whole lay up to your substrate. what ever you do to the face you must do to the back or your panel will warp.

Just to be sure, you are planning to glue the bookmatched veneer to a substrate such as plywood or MDF?
