I just pulled out some Maple Pomele veneer out of my vacuum press. It has several bubbles/raised areas. I read earlier in the forum about injecting super glue through the veneer and into the bubble. Should I do this before or after I stain the veneer?

It is probably my post that you are referring to. Honestly, I've only used that technique after all finishing has been done: staining, lacquer, rubout... It's one of those things one does in desperation when installing and finding out some veneer is loose. That said, super glue may still be the right thing to choose here. I would experiment on some scrap veneer first. It the glue saturates the wood, the stain won't penetrate. You might want to investigate why you have bubbles. Are they extensive? Darryl will probably have some good advice for you.

I would want to fix the bubbles before anything else, so that I don't sand through them. I've not stained after supergluing bubbles, though, just clear finish, but I wouldn't expect problems since it's a common fix. Testing however is an excellent idea. If no bubbles to test, pour a bit on the surface of a test gluing, then sand and finish after it cures.
