I'm using a new Professional Vacu Press system. It works well, achieves full vacuum quickly and then the pump shuts off. The pressure is mantained for several hours. When the pressure does drop, the pump tries to come on but it struggles to turn freely. If I turn the switch off and then on again it may or may not run normally. The pump always runs freely when starting from 0. Only when the air has already been evacuated from the system and it needs to cycle on again does it fail to "get going". I'm afraid to leave the pump on unattended. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Michael

Michael,

I think a phone call is in order so we can sleuth it out. 207-725-0935.

Make sure you are not on an extension cord but plugged directly into an outlet.

Sincerely
Darryl Keil

Darryl,

I work in an old shop, not many outlets. I've always need an extension cord. For the first time, I plugged the pump directly into an outlet as you suggested, and it cycles on and off effortlessly. Thanks for the quick reply, a simple solution. I look forward to incorporating this versatile and effective tool into my daily work.

Thanks again,
Michael
