Hi Daryll!
I took your veneering class at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship this past August. I want to finish up the 16 way walnut burl and anigre round top. I'm thinking of making this into a Queen Anne style stand. Would you recommend using a solid edge in anigre? Anigre edgebanding? Where may I source these supplies?

Your course was probably the best I've ever taken! You're an excellent instructor!

I'm glad to hear you were happy with the class and especially happy that you plan on finishing the table top.

The top we did isn't really a Queen Anne style but a solid Anigre edge would be my choice over a short grain Anigre veneer border which would make it much more Federal period like.

If it was me I would make the base out of Anigre as well.

Try A&M Hardwoods in Toronto for solid Anigre. I'm sure there are plenty of other sources but I have gotten it from them before.

Search Item# 320028017110 on ebay, looks like a fanatastic piece. Check out ebay you can look at about 20 pieces from different sellers. You get the exact piece you are looking at. You could never cover so much ground and see as much lumber as there. I have purchased a lot of lumber from many sources on the web. If the sellers have a 100% feedback rating and over 100 transactions go for it. I have yet to get any wood I did not love!
