I need to put veneer on a raised panel. The substrate is MDF. I understand that first I had to shape the edge of the substrate and then glue the veneer. What type of caulk ( if any ) should I use on the top?

What does scibp6p mean?

Just to clarify, are you trying to veneer just the flat part of the panel or the shaped part as well?

Sorry scibp6p is a mistake -- please remove it from the subject if possible. No I am thinking about veneering the shaped part of the panel as well as flat part.
